You may soon be able to eat while you grieve at funerals in N.J.

New Jersey may soon lift its ban on food and drink being served at funerals. It’s now up to Gov. Phil Murphy to decide.

The state Senate passed it 35-1 at the Statehouse in Trenton, while the state Assembly approved it 64-6, with 3 abstentions.

Murphy will now choose whether to sign the measure (S2807/A4323) into law or veto it.
