Bridgegate appeal could take a toll on overzealous federal prosecutors

After I drove up to Lake Hopatcong the other day to report on the serious problem with the water there, I found that I had a serious problem of my own:

I had to drive home. During rush hour.

I was going along fine until I hit a road closed for repairs. I tried an alternate route and was flying along - until I hit a spot where that route was closed for repairs. I made a U-turn and hit another road closure that had just sprung up in the mere minutes since my last visit.

At that point I began thinking deep thoughts about the verdict in the trial of those two Bridgegate defendants, Bill Baroni and Bridget Anne Kelly.
