He would wait along the road she took to work and pull her over, "just to chat".

He'd tell her how lonely he got, how much he looked forward to seeing her, lean into her window and stare at her breasts, offer to take her out and buy her some drinks.

She was 22 years old and had a criminal record. She'd tell him he was making her late for work, that she couldn't afford to lose her job, and he would respond with shit like "a pretty girl like you shouldn't have to work".

She would drive miles out of her way to avoid him, and then he tracked her down on her new route. "I get the feeling you're trying to dodge me." This went on for several months until she got a new job.

This was in the 1970's. Both she and the cop have passed away now.
