Good. Even at DU people 'laugh at us' the same way the GOP did when they punished us for voting for Clinton in 2016.
In 2017, SALT deductions were capped at $10,000, representing a significant tax hit for many homeowners in North Jersey. The first draft of President Joe Bidens $3.5 trillion social welfare package, which was being discussed this week, did not include a repeal of this cap.
The group plans to oppose the budget reconciliation package unless there is a restoration of the SALT deduction included in the final version of the bill before it hits the House of Representatives floor.
"What is middle class and middle income in Oklahoma or South Dakota or Wyoming isnt the same in New Jersey, where we face much higher costs of living," said Pascrell. "Paraphrasing Rodney Dangerfield, New Jersey gets no respect with these SALT lies. There is no Build Back Better and no rebuilt America without a restored SALT deduction. Any legislation we approve in the full House must include it. Period."

With the exception of dramatically cutting the value (not cost - value) and holding off until 2022 as Manchin has suggested.
It's not like his state's citizens are going to be paying for it anyways. I wish for once - a reporter or blue state Senator would call him out in public for it. IE - Point black point out the disparity between what their state pays in and what they get back vs WV.

If he doesn't get it done.
It's mission critical for the 7th district where a family of four making 100K is working class.
