I can't believe Republicans elevated a QAnon candidate to run against one of the most
progressive, Old School Democrats in the House, Bill Pascrell.
I'm talking about Billy Prempeh for CD-9.
Sure, I know this district has had its problem candidates in the past. Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, the author of Kosher Sex. He was our Dr. Oz about a decade ago.
But Prempeh is not even trying to campaign. He'll do events and attempt to make speculative accusations against Bill Pascrel.
But he also is predicting a "Red Wave" this November.
He goes beyond the expected republican talking points.
He's now doing reverse psychology: "Democrats, if you can't bring yourselves to vote for me because I am a Republican, all I ask is that you DON'T vote against me. Give me a shot for an alternative path." (IOW, let me win by not voting for Pascrell.)
CD-9 has been reconfigured but is still heavily democratic.
My hope is that Republicans chose him as a placeholder candidate as they don't expect any one of their party to win (at this time) against Pascrell.
