Vote By Mail Update: Cape May And Cumberland Pass 50% Absentee Returns

More than 400,000 New Jerseyans have voted as of Thursday, according to an analysis by Associated Press researcher Ryan Dubicki.

408,261 New Jerseyans have submitted absentee ballots — Democrats accounted for 257,502, or about 63.1%, of that total. 1.041 million New Jerseyans have so far requested a mail-in ballot.

Early ballots from Democrats, who are more likely to vote early and have more registered voters in the state, generally outnumber Republican mail-in votes.

39.2% of voters have returned their absentee ballots as of Thursday.
