Clinton to Christie: Minimum wage veto 'a blow to working families'

TRENTON — Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton took a swipe at Chris Christie on Wednesday, slamming him for his Tuesday veto of a bill to increase New Jersey's minimum wage to $15 an hour.

While Christie is no longer campaigning for the White House, he's a top adviser to Clinton's rival, Donald Trump, which could help explain why Clinton took time out of her campaign to fire off a personal tweet that criticized Christie.

Clinton called Christie's veto "a blow to working families."

"No one who works full-time should have to live in poverty," she wrote, signing the tweet "H" for Hillary, signaling she personally penned the tweet.
