Voters will decide on pension stripping, forest preserve in November

Albany -- State lawmakers considered thousands of bills during the legislative session this year. They ultimately approved hundreds that will be considered by the governor through year's end.

But it's the voters who will get the final say on two.

The November general election ballot will feature two constitutional amendments that were cleared by the Legislature last year and again this year, meeting the requirement that amendments be passed by two consecutively elected Legislatures before they can go to the voters.

One deals with stripping convicted public officials of their pensions. The other would create a forest preserve land bank.
