An off-duty New Jersey state trooper accidentally shot himself in the leg while aboard an Amtrak train at Penn Station in Manhattan, authorities said Monday.
The trooper is in stable condition at Bellevue Hospital and expected to fully recover.
The gun went off about 9:30 p.m. Sunday. There were no other injuries. Police aren't saying how the shooting happened.

He then used the video as a different teaching moment - for what I can't recall.

My strong opinion is that gun accidents are extremely rare. Most non-intentional woundings are gross negligence.
