(222,226 posts)Stefanik has a lot more voters that want to see her gone than there are in NY-21 - she's doing damage on a national level now and the rest of the country is noticing.

(222,226 posts)She started out pretty unpopular and the last election was a close one - since her opponent Tedra Cobb got some national attention. So I'm hoping now that Stefanik has gotten so much negative national attention that more people will wake up and become aware of the threat she poses not just to the district, but to the country!
And she's already started attacking Matt - calling him "a New York City liberal!" I've actually been through Whitehall, where he comes from - it's a rural community on the way to Vermont! But that's the typical MAGA insult to upstate New York Democrats which I've heard before - we must all come from New York City and we're being paid by George Soros!

(222,226 posts)Over caging kids at the border. And this was a protest where I saw numerous people who I knew - and later found out that a fellow DUer who I knew lives just south of here was also there! We were both sorry we didn't know since we've never met - yet!
And that's also what they were saying about the local people who worked on Congressman Scott Murphy's campaign. He was the local guy (lives about 2 miles from me, I pass his house on a regular basis) who ran to take Kirsten Gillibrand's place after she was appointed to replace Hillary Clinton as senator. I worked on both of his campaigns (he won the first and lost the second ) and I liked him tremendously. And not only did I run into people I knew there - but I was reunited with a few I used to work with and some I remembered from school back in the day!
