U.S. Transportation boss trashes NYC subway, proposes a fix

U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy used spicy language to describe the NYC subway, outlining steps he said would make it great again and save its federal funding.
Duffy argued that the subway system could be cleaned up in 36 hours if New York Gov. Kathy Hochul took action, and he used strong language to describe the system’s conditions.

If Secretary Sean Duffy wants to express outrage at transportation crime, suggest he should focus his attention somewhere else. For example, there were 65,000 train thefts in 2024 (the majority in the southwestern states).
