Snow/Ice Stormy Weather Watch

Heavy snow across the Mid-South, significant icing for the Piedmont of the Carolinas, heavy snow along the Appalachians into the Northeast/New England, and coastal flooding along the Atlantic shoreline. A major winter storm is set to impact a wide area this weekend.

Please note that there is a pinned, automatically updating, NWS USA weather link at the top of the group page here:

ICYMI, I'm adding the link to the very helpful Updated Winter Safety Driving post by usaf-vet with a Hat Tip.

Good luck everyone!

So turn around, don't drown and lots of broken tree limbs, at least at my house.

If you want to check it out the link to the NWS office at Wilmington is:

We're at the edge of the 3-6 " and 6-12" borders. N of I 40, W of I 77. Very rural. Everything stops when it snows or ices. I'm prepared, and planning to work from home on Monday, longer if necessary.

It's my go to activity when a storm is coming. It takes my mind off of the impending danger.

I may even bake something. I hope we don't lose power. I don't have a generator. ❤
