After 16 years, Bryant coach Mike Pressler is stepping down as head coach.
The athletic department announced the news Friday night; Chris Jastrzembski first reported it Friday afternoon. Sources tell IL that Pressler is expected to take over as the head coach at Highland Park (Texas) High School.
As part of the announcement, athletic director Bill Smith named Casey Brodersen the interim head coach and said that a search for a permanent successor will begin immediately.
Pressler took over at Bryant following his departure from Duke in 2006. He oversaw the program's transition from Division II to Division I between 2008 and 09; check out this video from the fall of 2008, in which Pressler spoke to IL about the program's first season in Division I and adding Zack Greer as a grad transfer from Duke.
