Looking Glass Rock. Hiked it twice. 3.1 miles and 1700 foot elevation change.
You walk through woods on a trail and come to the face of the rock. A rush.

During the busy work years we flew to S. Fla. for brief visits to see relatives, the Keys, Key West and missed NC. No more, the Black Mt. Appalachian area is on the list. I appreciate your post, it's inspired me more.
