Just read a very sobering event on a local news website re a terrible crime

http://www.wral.com/search-continues-for-man-charged-with-murder-rape-in-raleigh-crime-spree/14867201/

The man who was killed was a long time tomato plant customer of mine - probably going back more than 10 years. He bought one of my books, and I signed it for him, just a few months ago, standing in my driveway, talking about gardening, and life. I know we've lost customers to relocations, old age, cancer - this hit me particularly hard.

Live each day to the fullest. You never know what is going to happen.

who committed all that violence had just been released from jail. Armed and dangerous, hope they catch him soon.

all over the country--including here in NC-- with all the people who have access to guns who shouldn't.

I just lost a friend at age 59 to pulmonary fibrosis. I went to see her on 8/20 at Duke--where she was
being evaluated for a lung transplant. She was denied last Wednesday and on Sunday she died.

That kind of thing can happen anywhere to anybody. But it really scares me that just by
the fact of being at the wrong place at the wrong time you can be killed by someone with a gun.
It's becoming very scary.
