The election is June 7th, so time to begin deciding.

Who do you like? I am moving toward a decision but want to hear other opinions first. There are SIX candidates, and there will be no runoff, even if none get a simple majority of the vote. I linked the Charlotte Observer profiles. They are not all that enlightening, but at least a place to start.
Alma Adams (incumbent, lived in Greensboro until a few months ago)
Tricia Cotham (local)
Carla Cunningham (local)
Malcolm Graham (local)
Gardenia Henley (Winston-Salem)
Paul Wright (Republican, Mt. Olive, 180 miles outside of the district)

(11,243 posts)Adams seems ok, but not getting much of substance from her campaign message. The hats are cool, but is she going to represent Charlotte? Does she understand our issues and electorate?

(113,817 posts)an uncomfortable fit. Though, she is trying her best from what I've seen. The redrawing of the district made it extra tough on her.
On the other hand, the way it was drawn before made it really too easy for her. So, this is an appropriate correction in my view.
