Social Security opens office to investigate disability fraud in NC

RALEIGH — The Social Security Administration has opened a North Carolina office which is dedicated to identifying disability fraud across the state.

CDI units combine efforts from federal, state and local agencies to analyze and investigate suspicious or questionable disability claims and resolve questions of potential fraud before benefits are ever paid.
