Related: About this forumThe NC GOP is a job killing machine (cross post from GD)
http://www.democraticunderground.com/10028477520There is so much to be outraged about in our state right now so there is much going under the radar. This story about the NC GOP's attempt to kill a wind farm project that is already finished seems like one to focus on. It is so cynically obvious and corrupt and they are doing it to their core supporters. The problem with arguing about O-care and Cooper is that it gets very emotional and partisan. The tax changes are difficult to explain. But this is just the Republican controlled NCGA stealing from a local rural district for their Art Pope/Koch overlords.
If you want to tweet at the NC state reps, here are their handles. Remember to keep it civil. If we are abusive, it makes us look like the bad guys.
@SenatorBillCook (distirct rep who is selling out his own district)
@NCHouseSpeaker (Tim Moore, house speaker)
@SenatorBerger (Phil Berger, senate leader)

The thing about Twitter, regular people don't follow it that closely, but politicians and journalists do. It is also a great way to track stories that are not getting much play in MSM. Like this one!
--------------
They drove and estimated $400 million from the state with their ridiculous, discriminatory HB2 bathroom law. Since most of that lost business impacts liberal and affluent urban areas and the gerrymandering protects their super-majorities in the general assembly, they didn't care too much.
But now they are taking direct aim at killing rural jobs in service to their Koch and oil interest overlords. NC has been developing a decent green energy industry with wind and solar farms. This is in direct opposition to the energy PACs that fill the coffers on the NC GOP so they are trying to kill a project that has already been built and began producing energy on the flimsy excuse that it will interfere with military installations in Chesapeake, VA. They say that the military was too intimidated by PC Obama to speak up.
NC is the canary in the coal mine for nefarious GOP shenanigans and they are not waiting until Trump is officially inaugurated to start the big heist. They are already stealing jobs and income directly and transparently from their core supporters, not just the urban libtards. Yes, they have always done this, but in the past it was sneakily done through changes in tax codes and the like. This is straight up taking jobs from people who just got them in areas that are depressed and struggling already.
Buckle up kids, gonna be a rough ride.....
