Today (Feb 7, 2020) is the regular voter registration deadline for North Carolina's 2020 Primary

Five things to know:

(1) Your completed registration form must be mailed (postmarked) or delivered in-person to your county's Board of Elections by 5 p.m. today. Find your county BOE here:https://vt.ncsbe.gov/BOEInfo/ (Pro-tip: if you're mailing your form, make sure you head inside the post office to confirm you're receiving a postmark for today.)

(2) If you're not sure about your registration status, you can look yourself up at the State Board's voter lookup: https://vt.ncsbe.gov/RegLkup/ (Pro-tip: once you've entered the required information and clicked on your name, look for "ACTIVE" next to the "status" listing at the top of your voter record. If you're ACTIVE, you're already registered!)

(3) Want to know if you're eligible to register? Need a registration form? Find everything here: https://www.ncvoter.org/registering-to-vote/.

(4) If you can't register by today, you can also register and vote — at the same time — during the 17-day one-stop Early Voting period, kicking off next week on Thursday, February 13, through Saturday, February 29. To register at an Early Voting location in your county (find yours here: https://s3.amazonaws.com/dl.ncsbe.gov/One-Stop_Early_Voting/One-Stop%20Site%20List.pdf), please bring ONE of the following documents:

NC driver’s license
Other government photo ID with name and current address
Utility bill, bank statement, or payroll stub with name and current address
Student photo ID with a school document showing the student’s address
Any document from any government agency with the voter’s name and current address.

(5) If you'd like to change your party affiliation ahead of the 2020 Primary, you must do so by re-registering by today's regular voter registration deadline. You cannot change your party affiliation when registering to vote during the one-stop Early Voting period (Per NCGS § 163-82.17. Change of party affiliation).

Can't wait to see you at the polls!

Onward,

Sailor Jones
Campaigns Director
