Voting lines form quickly at Fargodome

Early in-person voting got off to a fast start in North Dakota’s most populous county Tuesday.

Early voting started at 11 a.m. at the Fargodome and other Cass County locations. By 12:30 p.m., the Fargodome was showing a 45-minute wait time on a Cass County online tracker. Another Fargo site, Northview Church, had a 40-minute wait and Ramada Inn had a 25-minute. But some other sites, the Cass County Courthouse, the Red River Valley Fairgrounds and a site in Casselton had little to no wait time.

Bob Henderson, director of information technology for Cass County, said about 200 people had voted in the first 45 minutes at the Fargodome.

Early in-person voting also started in Grand Forks and Stark counties Tuesday, one week before the general election on Nov. 5. Some other counties got an earlier start.
