West Fargo officials seek to explain third lockdown at Sheyenne High School in 7 days

WEST FARGO — After Sheyenne High School was placed on an administrative lockdown for the third time in seven days and after a video of two students fighting began circulating online, the West Fargo School District held a news conference Thursday, Dec. 20, to discuss the safety procedures schools follow and the different types of lockdowns.

During an administrative lockdown — which happens frequently — students are cleared from the hallways and remain in classes so that the privacy of students involved is protected and staff or emergency personnel, when needed, can quickly move through the school.
