1. I'm strongly encouraged to see we're only down 1% at a point in time in which Kasich has already been pushing out misleading ads about how great he's been for Ohio's economy and job market for a month or two now, and Fitzgerald is still basically unheard of.

2. By the crosstabs, it's obvious we've got to boost the same people we expected we need to come out - younger people and African Americans.

Now we can generally boost AA turnout by focusing ground game and phonebanking geographically, despite the SoS attacks on the early voting process and the ongoing lack of adequate numbers of accessible polling places and voting booths.

But is there any specific strategy to reach new and first-time voters in the state? What, if anything, is allowed in terms of, for instance, visiting high schools? Or what is being done on social media to make voting the 'cool' thing to do? Or dance club parties to encourage voting and socializing with other left-leaning young people?

This is doable if we all get out there and build the ground game.

We all know we won't get any help from the media in the state.
