Rocky River entrepreneur guilty of defrauding employees, IRS while living lavish lifestyle
CLEVELAND, Ohio -- A federal jury found a Rocky River entrepreneur guilty Tuesday of misusing hundreds of thousands of dollars collected from employees and for pilfering an employee retirement plan.
C. David Snyder, 65, collected close to $860,000 for payroll taxes from his employees in 2010 and 2012 while he was chairman, president and CEO of Attevo, a now-defunct technology consulting company based in Cleveland. While the money was meant for the IRS, Snyder never paid the government its taxes.
Snyder also embezzled more than $126,000 from a 401(k) and profit-sharing retirement plan he created for Attevo employees in 2009. Ruralogic, a Bryan-based company where Snyder served as chairman and primary shareholder, was added to the plan in 2010. Snyder did not pay contributions and loan repayments withheld from employee wages, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.
Snyder has been involved in the Cleveland business community for a few decades and was a prominent Democratic fundraiser. He is currently the president and CEO of the technology consulting company Realscape Group.

I regret that a Democrat would stoop so low.
