Democratic presidential contender, Sen. Kamala Harris, to speak to Cincinnati NAACP
Two years from the 2020 election, U.S. Sen. Kamala Harris of California has pulled in front of the Democratic field as a leading presidential contender - at least according to bookmakers.
Las Vegas bookmakers think she has a good shot at being the United States' first female president. Betting site Oddshark has her tied with Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders as having the best odds to be the Democratic nominee.
Amidst the presidential speculation, Harris will make a trip Oct. 6 to Cincinnati. She'll speak at the Cincinnati NAACP Annual Freedom Fund Dinner at the Duke Energy Center.
Harris hasn't announced her candidacy but it looks like she could be gearing up for a presidential run. In addition to the Cincinnati stop, she's headlining a reception in the next week in Martha's Vineyard in Massachusetts.
