DeWine facing GOP mutiny in rural Ohio over coronavirus

A look at the morons we have here, particularly in SW Ohio .... where the coronavirus is currently spiking. I guess DeWine isn’t far right cuckoo enough for them.

********

Republicans in Warren County north of Cincinnati made headlines with their strong rebuke of Gov. Mike DeWine last week.

They told the Republican governor he “overstepped his bounds” with the restrictions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and “grossly mishandled” the delayed primary election.

Turns out they are not the only Republican leaders DeWine has angered.

A few weeks earlier, Republicans in six deeply red counties in the west-central part of the state sent DeWine a letter expressing similar disdain.

“You have disappointed your party faithful,” the letter signed by the GOP county parties in Mercer, Darke, Shelby, Williams, Van Wert and Preble counties stated. Shelby County Republican Chairwoman Theresa Kerg confirmed the letter’s authenticity.

The letter was sent to the governor June 4. “As party leaders in our respective counties, we are telling you that the damage you are doing economically is translating politically.

(snip)

“What he’s doing, and the way he operates, appears to be more like a Democratic governor,” Kerg said Monday.

Mandate masks in public, dummy!

You've already made the right-wing extremists upset anyway!

One of the Trump cultist coworkers at my previous job already screamed that "he's a damn RINO" when DeWine closed down schools earlier than any state in the country, for example.

He did a good job at the beginning ... but then he caved. Without mandating masks, dummies won't wear them. And that is already obvious. Ohio is spiking.

And you are also right--DeWine had already irritated the Trumpsters in the party, so why not continue trying to keep the people of Ohio healthy?

Territory. That whole area is mostly Republican. Lebanon, Westchester, Middletown, Hamilton, I think might be more Democratic. Cincinnati suburbs. Only the inner city is Democratic.

Have you ever heard Bill Cunningham on WLW? He might be the worst in the country! I remember when Sean Hannity had him on FOX News years ago, and even Hannity looked shocked! (Then smiled like he admired the asshole for going so far.)

Always regretted it!

That radio station is one of the most powerful in the country too. Ugh!

It used to have some balance, many years ago.

Gary Burbank had some funny shows years ago, and he definitely leaned liberal despite not shoving it in the ears of listeners like the right-wingers.

Burbank would often mock the right-wingers with his various comedy routines, such as this one:

Although there are many successful people in that area.

Note, JD’s Grandparents who raised him are Democrats. JD is Republican. He is now being criticized that it was his own disfunctional family he wrote about. I have to admit I know very few like them. But of course we stay away from the drugs and booze.

But they have also been known to change. People were shocked when every County down the Ohio River voted for Obama. First time Democratic in over 100 years.

They are not all Country bumpkins.

Williams, Van Wert, Mercer, Darke and Preble counties run from the top of the state down to Butler. Obviously southwest counties are notorious cesspools (especially Warren), but the counties mentioned are noteworthy for their border with Indiana. None of the counties border Kentucky, West Virginia or Pennsylvania. Only Williams borders Michigan.

Food for thought.

Die hard Democrat. I wonder if she knows where he is from.

I despise TV Evangelicals. Remember Billy Graham, embarrassed by his friendship with Nixon saying,” He was out of Politics!” Now look at his Son, Franklin, one of the worst shysters of all.
