Columbus PD shoots & kills a man near the RNC in Milwaukee today

Brian Steel, president of the Fraternal Order of Police Capital City Lodge No. 9, said details are limited, but he was contacted about a shooting in Milwaukee involving a Columbus police officer.

Several dozen Columbus officers, including the Division of Police's dialogue team, are in Milwaukee, as are officers from other cities around the country, to assist with security."

Nowhere does it say they are working in conjunction with mpd or the secret service.

Wouldn't put it by private paramilitary groups to be fronted by real police officers.

I imagine like electrical linemen from other states helping restore power after hurricanes.

"Steel { the CPD union chief}said Columbus sent 40 officers, including dialogue officers and two bicycle squadrons, to assist Milwaukee police at the RNC.

“Anytime you have at a major event such as RNC, DNC, inauguration, national disaster officers from across the country, they go up there and provide support,” Steel said."
