Hundreds flock to Franklin County Board of Elections for first day of early voting in Ohio
Hundreds of voters eager to get a head start on the democratic process or those just looking to get it out of the way cast their ballots Tuesday morning at the Franklin County Board of Elections during the first day of early voting in Ohio.
Voters in Ohio's most populous county were able to cast in-person ballots on the next U.S. president, a U.S. Senate seat, Ohio Issue 1, Ohio statehouse races, Franklin County prosecutor and treasurer races and more. Thousands were estimated to vote by the end of the first day.
Jeremy Blake, 46, said he came out to vote Tuesday morning to avoid Election Day voting lines and cast his vote for Vice President Kamala Harris.''
"I grew up, I'm biracial, so just thinking of my grandmothers and my great grandmothers and my mom and being able to vote for the first Black woman to be president of the United States," he said. "That's inspiring. So hopefully, we'll make history this election."
