The states of WI, MI, PA, IL, and NY all have their arms crossed, brows furrowed, and are tapping their left foot indignantly wanting to know what is the matter with you OHIO?
For the last 30 years Republicans have destroyed Ohio, which is now at the bottom of all the Best lists and the top of all the Worst lists.
A brief list of just some of the many problems facing Ohioans:
1. Lordstown assembly plant closes in 2019. Trump promises to reopen, but does not.

6. Proposed Interstate 73 project (replacing NB & SB State Route 23) was torpedoed despite ST RT 23 being grossly overcapacity (only route North to MI, IN, IL, WI, Canada)
7. Ohio recently named 35/50 worst states to live in - 15th from bottom! US News & World Report (8/24)
8. Ohio 6 year property tax reevaluation began. Homeowners start receiving property taxes bills with new values (most jump between $500-$2,500)
9. Hundreds of thousands of Ohioans are on antiquated wells and septic and not on modernized water systems. Many lines still have lead pipes.

11. Gov Mike DeWine sneaks "medical conscious clause" into budget bill in the middle of the night. 12. Ohio corrupt gerrymander so Republicans stay in power. Gov Mike DeWine disobeys the lawful orders of the Ohio Supreme Court 7 times, to redraw the maps, and then held an actual unlawful election
13. Ohio Jobs and Family Services puts taxpayers on the hook for over $1 billion dollars for out of state identity theft due to computer software and hardware being outdated and not secure.
14. Dayton Mass shooting August 4 2019, 9 murdered 27 injured. Gov. Mike DeWine promises to strengthen gun laws but passes 3 new laws that weaken gun laws, one that does not require drivers of vehicles to immediately inform officers of a gun in the vehicle - Police agencies finally speak out about danger of this law. Open carry passes on Ohio.
15. 20. Ohio has one of the lowest life expectancy now down to 75.3. 42nd out of 50 states.
21. Ohio's poverty rate is higher than the national average
22. Ohio's median income is lower than the nation average
23. Ohio now ranks 9th highest in taxes

27. Hundreds of companies, public and private, in Ohio have transgender exclusions in their health insurance policies.
28. Republicans allow gas utilities and electric utilities to charge a flat fee before consumer uses and gas or electricity. Gas and electric bills skyrocket. Gas utilities are now allowed to charge a penalty fee for under usage. Consumer boards, filled with DeWine cronies, do nothing to fight this corruption.
29. US News and World Reports finds OHIO is 36 worst state out of 50 across 71 criteria, 14th from the bottom. (August, 2024)
30. Republicans pass law preventing parents from getting counseling and medication for their children who are transgender, passing HB68
31. Nepotism, patronage, & cronyism in contracting & hiring across Ohio
32. 1950s court systems with antiquated & overcapacity courthouses, out of ADA compliance, little to no parking, leaking roofs, etc
33. Ohio ranked 31 out of 50 worst for cost to charge an EV $10.12
