(12,263 posts)I'm all for more people having access to vision services and cheaper eyeglasses and was set to vote yes UNTIL I read the proposed law. It changes the state Constitution to exempt retail establishments from State standards. (My main objection, but there are plenty of WTF's in it) Customed designed by Walmart lobbyists and presented as written by Walmart lobbyists. I voted NO.

(54,868 posts)We went to Ballotpedia and went through each one. We ultimately decided to vote "no" on all of them. We also looked over every judge. Any judge appointed by Fallin or another republican, we voted "no". We also decided NOT to vote "straight ticket" because there were at least two posts which had no democratic candidate and given some of the horror stories we are seeing with straight ticket voting, we decided to take a few extra seconds and made sure every democrat was marked!

(12,263 posts)Voted individually as well for the same reason. The Board of Elections set up a cool area with props (American flag backdrop, buttons, tiara's hats, fans, etc.), a sort of selfie kiosk for people snap photos of each other after their vote. Luckily, we live in a smaller town and so met all the candidates and worked for many of them. We thought it would be the best way to meet new friends with similar viewpoint since we are new in town.

(54,868 posts)There were two we weren't sure about so we looked them up. Anyone appointed by Fallin got a "no" vote for sure.
