Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office arrests three in theft of Amazon packages
Oklahoma County Sheriff's deputies on Tuesday arrested three suspects in the theft of thousands of Amazon packages.
Over New Year's weekend, deputies received a call from a resident reporting trash had been dumped illegally in the area of NE 206 and Harrah Road. The sheriff's team found more than 600 Amazon packages, most of them opened, and many with the contents missing.
Investigators also found a garbage bag containing an envelope with a name and an address, as well as a store receipt. After obtaining a search warrant for a residence at 203 S Birch St. in Luther, the team found thousands of undelivered Amazon packages inside the home.
Officers arrested Cesar Yasnier Cerqueira Rojas, Dinneris Matos Delgado and Maikel Perez Laurencio. Sheriff's deputies say the trio will likely face multiple felony counts of possession of stolen property and embezzlement.
