Dozens of Oklahoma polling places have moved since 2020 election

At least two dozen polling places have moved in Oklahoma County since the 2020 election, meaning voters may want to check where they are submitting their ballots before Election Day.

"Our concern is lost voters. We want voters to know where their polling place is," Doug Sanderson, the secretary for the Oklahoma County Election Board, said. "I can assure you that there’s not any election official in Oklahoma that ever wants to change a polling place, because it’s disruptive for the voters."

There are just under 2,000 precincts across the state. Since the last presidential election, voters' polling places may have changed due to a number of reasons, including the national census.

Because of the new census, some precincts and boundaries changed, which means changes to polling places. Those changes were made before the 2022 election, when Oklahomans voted for governor.
