I read a report that ties fracking in Oklahoma to some of these bigger earthquakes. I know Oklahoma has earthquakes, but when the oil companies denied any connection, that pretty much confirmed for me that there's something to it. It doesn't take much imagination to see how all that water and chemicals injected under high pressure has to have some detrimental effects besides polluting the water, soil, etc.

But don't worry too much. These are small quakes. I lived in SoCal for a decade. We'd experience small ones all the time. Only two were scary. One, 7.2, went on for half a minute of gentle rocking. Another, a smaller one scared the crap out of me because it was very sharp, sudden shaking.

The others were common occurrences.

Regardless, stay safe.

here in Tulsa. We had an outbreak last year too. That one really rattled the house and the dishes.
It's just kind of a weird event in Oklahoma. :0
