OK gun shop bans Muslims, gets sued by Army reservist
Oktaha, Okla.
A federal discrimination lawsuit was filed Wednesday on behalf of a Muslim man in Oklahoma.
Newsok.com reports the lawsuit states the owners of Save Yourself Survival and Tactical Gear in Oktaha have displayed a sign at their business since July reading, "This privately owned business is a Muslim-free establishment, we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Thank you."
Raja'ee Fatihah is a specialist in the U.S. Army Reserve and he says his lawsuit is to 'help people to understand that there is nothing to fear about Muslims, to get my story out there, and hopefully, to prevent this from happening to other people, not just Muslims but Americans of all faiths and no-faith traditions."

So far, call-ins to the radio have supported this shop's decision with the following "arguments":
- "Government intrusion into the affairs of private business is why the pilgrims fled England." Never mind the fact that the Pilgrims were themselves being religiously discriminated against...
- "I can't play golf at Augusta cuz it's private; likewise, this Muslim shouldn't expect to be a customer at this private business." No -- you can't play at Augusta because you haven't paid for a membership.
- "I don't know why he's offended. I'm an old, fat, white guy, and if you call me that I won't be offended because it's true." Uh... the man isn't offended because he's being *called* a Muslim.
I'm also impressed that Okie conservatives are robustly denying a fellow American (and Army reservist) from purchasing a gun. Apparently, there ARE circumstances where gun control is considered okay. Take note, gun activists!
