I lived there for a few years, Rockaway to be specific, in a house right on the beach, or as close as you can legally build. Interesting times, weather-wise. I recall one year when we were stranded because of the heavy rainfall. As in, couldn't navigate 101 to the south which was flooded, to the north because of landslides and Highway 6 was shut down by landslides. Talk about trapped! Shortly afterwards, we moved to sunny and dry Central Oregon where we remain to this day. Love going to the coast, but living there--not so much.
