A patient at a Cumberland County (PA) hospital was charged with indecent exposure this week after witnesses said he was touching himself inside his patient room. According to East Pennsboro Township police, officers went to Penn State Holy Spirit Hospital in the 500 block of North 21st Street, Camp Hill, at 1:20 a.m. August 4, where William Rhinehart was a patient.
Security told officers that 59-year-old Rhinehart, of Harrisburg, had been masturbating inside his room despite staff telling him to stop repeatedly.
Reinhart refused to listen and over the course of his time in the hospital, was seen touching himself by several minors in the area.
Police charged Reinhart with indecent exposure and open lewdness. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for November 11, according to online court dockets.

(4,203 posts)Im not sure legal charges are very useful in this situation. Getting the person transferred to a psych facility ASAP is preferred. Meanwhile, think Chemical sedation, one-to-one security guard, etc.

(8,387 posts)You mean something like taking him out of a hospital and putting him into some place where a person with an illness might be treated?
I thought that's what police are for.
