Lancaster Board of Elections Says Suspected Fraudulent Voter Registration Forms Dropped at Offices
At a Friday news conference, Lancaster County commissioners Josh Parsons, Ray DAgostino, and Alice Yoder reported that fraudulent voter registration forms were found in a batch of nearly 2,500 that were turned into the countys election office in the closing days of the registration period.
Along with Lancaster County District Attorney Heather Adams, the group noted that the election staff, headed by director Christa Miller, discovered inconsistencies, such as duplicate handwriting and incorrect personal information, leading to informing the District Attorneys Office.
Preliminary findings indicate that as many as 60 percent of the applications are fraudulent, with indicators including false addresses and identifications.
While Adams stressed that her comments would be limited due to the fact that this is an ongoing investigation, she did share that numerous applications appear to have the same handwriting filled out on the same day with unknown signatures, and some were previously registered voters, and the signatures on file did not not match the signatures on the application.
