Still, there are things I miss about RI - Raleigh NC is not quite the same!

I spent most holidays there while growing up.
Parents moved to Pawtucket from NYC after retiring.
My sister lives there now along with several cousins and some of their offspring.

(31 posts)I have been here for over 50 years - and now my ferret "Venus" lives here too. Which reminds me- the second in a series of centennial Venus transits (not to occur again until 2117) happens on June 5, 2012). Venus transits occur in Sagittarius (relationships) and Gemini (communication). This heralds the onset of leading edge technology to bring the world closer together. Other Venus transit through the centuries include: The departure of Magellan to travel around the world; the first printing press in the Colonies (MA), National Postal System in Scandinavian countries; invention of the telephone, succeeded by TV & the internet. What will this one bring? Can't wait to find out!!
