Cool TN program for seniors

One of the restaurants in my town has received a grant from the Greater Nashville Regency Council. The cafe had closed due to the pandemic, but to keep them in business and their employees working they accepted a grant that pays them if they feed households with residents over 60. The restaurant approached my condo board and offered to feed any qualifying household in our neighborhood that filled out a form. All we had to do was certify our residency and age.

So tonight my wife and picked up a free meal of salad, linguini, meatballs, and some garlic bread. The best part is that this is not a one time deal. The program runs through the end of June. It couldn't have been more timely for us because we have both been under the weather the past few days (non-Covid related) and were too tired to cook.

Now we get to see our neighbors from a distance, have a good meal, and help out one of our local restaurants. Win-win-win!
