From Al Gore, Tennessees voters have fallen from Al Gore to Lamar Alexander to THIS.
My sympathy for voters who send the likes of Blackburn, Boebert, Greene, and others of their ilk to Congress and the Senate has almost disappeared. Voters who send the likes of her to Congress deserve what they get.

And it's idiots like this in Congress that are truly failing to do what their own 'Dear Leader' implored them to do: "Make America Great Again" - and Lord knows we have SO much work to do after THAT reign of terror....

(10,565 posts)to have a senator like her. We should be so lucky to have a Manchin type as our senator-not that I'm a fan of him but he's better than the right wing MAGA robot we have.

(17,273 posts)I'm in the state where Pat Toomey (R - Wall Street) was about 2 steps behind Lindsey Graham - but would always claim he 'wasn't like them' (meaning the MAGAts - ). But he continued to vote the 'tRump' line from top to bottom - and is now on his way back to his office on Wall Street - taking the rewards of his 4-years of work on behalf of the 1%.
Yes, we all have our 'burdens' - and we must ALL unite and work to rid our country of them - Manchin included!!!!!

(4,736 posts)What Blackburn said during the hearings was both absurd and racist. Yet she still retains her seat in Congress. We have so much to correct. If we can.

(51,597 posts)While the photograph is real, it was not taken during a hearing or vote on Jacksons confirmation, and theres no evidence that Blackburn was intentionally throwing a white power sign with her hand.
I don't dispute the fact that she's a racist, however.

(17,801 posts)It's labeled "mischaracterized" because the picture was taken during a hearing with Defense Sec Austin, who also happens to be black. Strange way to hold one's hands, especially in that context
