Wall Street Journal 'Weekend in Nashville' Picks Violate the Space-Time Continuum

(snip)

It City showed up in the Wall Street Journal for "A Pitch-Perfect Long Weekend in Nashville," and it's a fine summation of things to do in our city.

If you're following the author's itinerary, however, you're going to have a few problems:

1) You can't spontaneously pop into City House or The 404 Kitchen. You're going to need reservations, likely weeks in advance, if you want to go during prime time. For example, checking Open Table for this weekend's Sunday supper, City House's only available reservations are 5 and 5:15 p.m. (and those are probably going fast).

2) Arnold's isn't open on weekends.

3) Meridee's isn't open on Sunday.

4) The whole trip to Franklin, in fact, is a bust, as most of the shops listed either aren't open or open late on Sunday.

First rule of travel writing: Don't send someone to a place they can't get in.
