The Democrat candidate in the upcoming Tennessee gubernatorial race is Chrles Brown, who like the previous Democratic nominee, was the first person listed on the ballot and stands no chance of winning, according to The Tennessean.
The only visible signs of Browns campaign is the Facebook page featuring his misspelled name and an image of him and three fish. He has raised no money for his campaign, and did not respond to inquiries from The Tennessean.
In official documents filed with the state Democratic Party, Brown included letters he has written to various local newspaper that call into question his commitment to the Democratic cause.
In one, he wrote that he would like to strap (current Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam's) butt to the electric chair and give him half the jolt because he raised the peoples (sic) taxes.

(5,510 posts)He's from the Knoxville area. His beliefs are much more aligned w/Republican agenda, with the exception of unions. I see strong symbolism in his original FB pix. Three catfish (bottom-suckers) represent the 3 Supreme Court Justices the Republicans were trying to oust. A cartoon character's name at the top of the ballot. All so Rovian.
Face it, we've been had again. Only this time it is much more embarrassing. Nationally embarrassed again, w/a cartoon character. The party did not help our best candidate (McKamey) enough financially or promotionally. Now we are going to need to promote a write-in campaign for McKamey or another "qualified" candidate. How do we begin? Time is short. We cannot simply concede our state to the Reds.

I no longer use FB, but that symbolism is bizarre.

My friends dr. knows Phil Roe. he said Roe was amused at the "sequester" fiasco last year bcs it would give him more time on the golf course.
