Related: About this forumFor 20 plus years my Houston family would go take the Austin folks to Chez Nous to
celebrate an anniversary, birthday, etc. Now it is so very sadly gone and I cannot find any place that even comes close to it to take people to get a lovely meal. Any ideas?

(14,990 posts)2. Austin Texas. Many memerbers of my family have celebrated there.
Since we were in Houston we were used to many great places to eat and in Austin only found bbq, fried food and TexMex. The so called upper scale places were over priced and very mediocre. Actually mediocre is a really a step up from they really were.
