Gov. Greg Abbott to invite the richest man in the world to move its headquarters to the Lone Star State and join three of Musk's other companies.
Now Jim Schwertner, president and CEO of Schwertner Farms, is making his own offer to Musk. "Elon Musk, Move Twitter to Schwertner, TX. 38 Miles North of Austin in Williamson County, and we will give you 100 Acres for FREE," Schwertner wrote on Twitter Tuesday.
Twitter is based in San Francisco....if this happens will many be willing to move to Texas (Gilead). Personally I hope so. We need all the enlightened people we can get in Texas.

(8,332 posts)what was more rural just 10 years ago I think it is a positive sign for Texas. Rural Texas controls Texas politics even though all the major cities are BLUE.
If Dems can take back Texas (and I think it will happen eventually)....with it's 38 electoral votes it is over for the WACKO party. Godspeed.

(8,332 posts)will reject the likes of Bush, Perry, Abbott, Cruz, and all the other nasty folks in this state but the GOP is putting as many obstacles in place as possible. Most of the "Greatest generation" folks were Dems but not many left these days. It's the Boomers (and I'm one) that have fucked up this state.
Maybe I a naïve because I live in the Austin area?? I hope not.

(12,598 posts)But look at their people now. Cruz is Gen X. Cawthorn is almost Gen Z. Those racists in Charlottesville? They were younger. Conservatism and racism won't die out.
I hope you are right.
