"Immigrants do more for Texas than Abbott does"

@DonnaHowardTX
Let’s be clear. Texas has no income tax—relies on sales & property taxes to fund govt services. EVERYONE in Tx pays those taxes, incl undocumented immigrants who provide a net tax BENEFIT to the state of $12 billion

@statesman
Abbott said Wednesday that Texas would consider challenging a 1982 Supreme Court decision requiring states to offer free public education to all children, including those of undocumented immigrants.

The Republican Party is so vile I've lost respect for all those I know who still identify as republican.

really?...you mean digging ditches, mucking out sewers/toilets, hauling bricks/rocks...cleaning white people's homes/raising their children/mowing their lawns, gleaning their fields ....those jobs? ... shared hate for "the other" is what binds Abbott to his like-minded constituents...and shared hate is what binds Trump's faithful to a depraved cruel crude no-nothing narcissistic sociopath...I've lived in El Paso most of my life..hard working immigrants become hard working citizens...and their children become teachers, doctors, lawyers, accountants, shop keepers...they are friends and neighbors, wives, husbands, children, and grandchildren ... fuck Abbott...

As a former Texan, I can attest that immigrants do ALL the hard work in Texas.

Without them, Texans would live in tents, and not be able to feed themselves.

If you've never seen the film, "A Day without Mexicans", this is what would happen if all the Mexicans disappeared one day. Mediocre mockumentary, but interesting premise.

If I could list all the work they did on my house & yard it'd be a long one.
Thing is, they never gouged on price, did meticulous work, & if they weren't sure on a project they knew someone in their family that did know.
They were quick & perfectionists.
They had stories to tell, we laughed at the language barrier & never once were they disrespectful or arrogant.
They were good people & good friends.
I miss them all.

There just is no reason at all for what has taken place & for an entire populatin to be so disregarded.
I want Abbot to be defeated in this election for what he has done.
He is an abombinable creation.

🙁
Everywhere in my home there is a good memory of these people.
They left my house but their footprint is in every corner, every wall, kitchen cabinet with the little add ons they knew would be useful, every garden spot & piece of sod. The pavers & the trees that bloom each spring are theirs.

the disgusting history of American colonization. Is it any wonder that the controlling Anglo population does not want their history told. Shameful by any measure.
