Rep. Henry Cuellar finishes runoff 281 votes ahead of Jessica Cisneros

This is a decent lead but time will tell, Only two Justice Democrat emails for funds have hit my email box so far today

WASHINGTON — With every vote counted in a fiercely contested South Texas Democratic primary runoff, longtime congressman Henry Cuellar was 281 votes ahead of progressive challenger Jessica Cisneros.

Cuellar declared victory last week, after coming in 177 votes ahead of Cisneros on Election Day. The remaining uncounted ballots expanded his lead by another 104 votes, final results from each county in the district showed.

“As I said on election night, the margin will hold — and it has not only held but grown,” Cuellar said in a statement.

Cuellar called for those who voted against him in the runoff to back him in the general election, when Republicans hope Cassy Garcia, a former staffer for U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, will flip the long blue district.

Thre are 2 choices. Blue or Red.

She has a great opportunity to see that the Republicans won't be winning a seat in the House.
Get on it. Vote Blue. Do not sit this one out.

I expect nothing less from her.

considering that some of her supporters are already gearing up for another challenge in the 2024 primary. If she doesn't publicly support Cuellar in the general election this year, then she shouldn't run as a Democrat in 2024.

I know that the Justice Democrats were trying to raise $250,000 for a recount; however, in the email solicitation it also stated that half of the money raised will actually go to Justice Democrats rather than Cisneros.

Cisneros performed poorly in both Starr and Duval counties during the primary as well as the runoff. If this is where Cisneros believes that she can cut the lead, then she may not reach her fundraising goal.

I don't think it's gonna cost $250,000 however.
I'm thinking it's more like $25,000.

It was kinda weird how Jessica only netted 38 votes in Bexar County (the most populated county and county with the most voters in CD 28) and Cuellar got approx the same amts in both Starr and Duval Counties when the counties certified their elected.

Was Bexar was more efficient at counting their mail ballots by Election Night than Starr and Duval? It's worth looking into.

with the Justice Democrats getting half. There is still quite a gap between $25,000 and $125,000 so where is the remainder of that money going?

My best guess from what I've uncovered as to the movement of campaign $$.

Someone in the line of succession is getting fed a constant slice of the fundraising machine pie!

The money flows upward.
