Texas insurance rates soar as state lawmakers look for solutions - KVUE



Texans have seen double-digit increases in home and auto insurance rates in the last two years. Now state lawmakers from both parties are brainstorming fixes.

Also well above a flood zone. We’re about 20 feet above where I’ve seen flooding. Yet our insurance has risen about the same as mentioned.

I know one of the reasons auto insurance has risen so much is all the tech that goes into the bumpers of new cars. Fender benders that wouldn’t cost much to repair now have the added cost of the tech built in.
