Early voting so far in Taylor County about doubled 2022 turnout, elections say

According to Taylor County Elections, on the first day of early voting this year, 1,086 people cast a ballot, compared to just 507 on day one in 2022.

Day two and three show similar jumps.

Early voting turnout this year is about 50 percent higher than it was in 2022.

“I think more people are trying to get involved and place their ballots, so that means something," Warren said. "I think maybe people are sick of some of the things that are going on, and they want to see a change for the better.”
