Irving ISD Board calls $952M bond election for this November

IRVING, Texas — The Irving ISD Board of Trustees called a $952 million bond election for the Nov. 3 election during their Monday meeting, the district said.

According to the district, the proposed bond package would include replacement campuses and updates to things like technology, student programs, safety and facilities and district infrastructure.

Much like the district's previous bond, which was approved in the May 2023 election, the district said this new proposal was guided by community-based planning, with a facilities planning committee chaired by parents, students, faculty and community members. This group looks at demographic studies, facility assessments, enrollment projections, project cost estimates, educational specifications and long-range planning information.

The May 2023 bond was used by the district to renovate 32 campuses and replace three of them.
