READSBORO, Vt. (WCAX) - Police say a missing Vermont woman has been found safe.

Early Tuesday morning, Vermont State Police asked the public for help finding Johanne Thayer, 61, of Readsboro.

Investigators said she had not been seen since Monday morning and there were concerns for her welfare.

Tuesday at about 10 a.m., troopers reported that Thayer has been found and she is safe.
