Controversy over contracts in Vermont's governor race

BURLINGTON, Vt. - Contracts that Republican governor candidate Phil Scott's company has won from the state have been an issue in the campaign for governor with Democrats, including candidate Sue Minter questioning the ethics of those deals.

But as Kyle Midura found out, Minter literally signed off on some of those contracts. There's also evidence that Scott has not always denied the existence of a conflict.

Contracts between DuBois construction owned by Scott and the state's agency of transportation obtained by WCAX show millions of dollars' worth of business since 2011.

Scott's challengers made a campaign issue out of that.
